The caps are leak-proof and have an airtight seal perfect for food preservation. They're also resistant to breaking, heat, rust, and stains. Use the metal caps with the Quattro Stagioni Maxi Collection jars to store dry goods, sauces, oils, or pickled vegetables. The caps will work with any vessel with a continuous thread neck and a 110mm opening. Hand washing is recommended for the lid. The lids are not unsuitable for the oven or microwave.
