The raised grooves on the base keep bacon elevated out of grease while cooking, and the spout allows the excess fat to be poured off. In addition, the cooker's grill base drains excess bacon fat for a curing effect. The cooker's base material is made of Xarec, a BPA-free resin resistant to high temperatures and top-rack dishwasher safe.
The lid design prevents grease spatter inside the microwave, and the handles make the pan easy to carry to the counter.
