It is designed to be stored in two positions: vertically or horizontally. The gusseted bottom also aids in filling by allowing the bag to stand. Air-tight and Leak-proof due to the slide pinch clamp closure, there is never a question if it is closed or not. The bag has space where the food item, ingredients, or expiration date may be written. Label it with a dry erase marker and wipe the writing clean with a wet cloth. The silicone bag can go from the freezer to the microwave for defrosting. It can also be used in Sous Vide cooking. Clean-up is simple since it is dishwasher safe.
